What do you do?: I oversee our title agency for Chicago Title Insurance Company through Title North, and I manage our firm’s business, municipal and real estate section. My practice areas include municipal, zoning, planning and land use, environmental law, commercial and residential real estate, and business and corporate.

Hobbies: Hiking, fishing, golf, biking, the theme being anything outdoors.

Career aspiration in high school: Honestly I always wanted to be an attorney (my mother will attest). I was on a mission straight from high school, had some fun in college (hence the additional year), and really enjoyed studying law at Albany.

First job: Parking cars (showing them where to park actually) at La Pizza (across from the Tiki Restaurant in Lake George). I can’t recall how old I actually was, but I think it was 10 years old!! After that, delivered newspapers for the Post Star for a long, long, long time (seemed like a long time during the winter).

How did you become a lawyer?: As above, I was on a mission.

Five years from now I will be: Practicing law, and still climbing mountains.

Favorite Quote: Yogi Berra- “You can observe a lot by watching.”

Favorite Book: ADK High Peaks Trail Guide. It has all my favorite hikes.

Why do you choose to work/live in area?: My family and my wife’s family are from here, and not to steal an ARCC motto, but we do get to live like we are on vacation. I live 10 minutes from a trailhead, 10 minutes from a trout stream, 10 minutes from the waters of Lake George, 12 minutes from work, and 30 seconds from a golf course. Not sure how it gets any better than our area.

Favorite restaurant: Bistro Tallulah

What would you change/add about area?: Nice, high end retail outdoor clothing store, a nice sports bar in downtown Glens Falls where I can sit back, watch games on lots of TV’s, have great wings, and not be pushed out the door.

Charitable interests: Animal rehabilitation, trail maintenance, anything to save Lake George

What type of business contacts do you seek?: Clients who understand the value and need for legal advice, from those purchasing their first house, to educated developers, to those starting and continuing businesses.
